June Update: Swim + Beach Collection 🏖️ Big News + Real Talk

It’s Mat here — founder of Rudest. I’ve got some big updates to share today, and in true Rudest style, we’re keeping things transparent. We’re building this brand from scratch, learning as we go, and your feedback continues to shape everything we do. Yes, there were a few bumps along the way — let’s start with how we’re fixing them.

Every single item of clothing in this image has been custom manufactured for us, however only the socks have been released so far. Sunglasses? Big announcement coming soon!

The Pride Collection Delays – What Happened

If you ordered from our Pride Collection, you may have experienced delays. Long story short: our products were made on time (with just a 2-day delay) and shipped to our new China-based warehouse on May 9th. But then... things went sideways.

The warehouse mistakenly shipped 700 incomplete orders missing socks or caps. 300 of those slipped through the border. The other 400 were recalled — without our approval — causing 2+ week delays and confusing tracking info for customers.

Worse, instead of reshipping those orders, the warehouse used the funds we sent to fix the mistake to fulfill new orders and then demanded even more money to release the old stock. It got ugly. We had to involve a new logistics partner who physically went to the warehouse, stood at the gate, and demanded our stock back.

That drama is now behind us. As of last weekend, we’ve officially moved to a reliable new warehouse. We still have about 30 orders (mostly towels) pending, and we had to pause some restocks due to the financial hit — roughly $15,000 in direct losses and around $100,000 in missed sales during Pride season. But we're bouncing back stronger than ever.

Meet Antonela — Our Powerhouse New Team Member

We couldn’t have turned this around without someone very special — Antonela. She’s joined the Rudest team alongside Amanda and me. A trained lawyer with a sharp design eye, she’s transitioning into e-commerce management and already helping us streamline operations, structure the brand, and push things forward fast. You’ll see the difference very soon.

Now the Good Stuff — Our Biggest Swim Collection Ever 🌈

The new Swim + Beach Collection drops next week — delayed just one week while we upgrade packaging and add more designs. And it’s WORTH the wait.

We’re launching 14 brand new swim briefs — our biggest, boldest drop to date! Each pair comes with its own waterproof PVC pouch, perfect for tossing your wet briefs into your beach bag (or our beach bag... still possibly coming 👀).
